President orders officials to speed up Zion Church renovation

Colombo, June 22 -  President Ranil Wickremesinghe instructed officials to explain the hold-ups in the renovation of the Zion Church in Batticaloa, which was damaged in the Easter Sunday bomb attacks.

He made this observation when he visited the church today.

The President ordered immediate assistance from the Sri Lanka Army to finish repairs swiftly. 

Funding from the Presidential Secretariat will support this effort, according to the President’s Media Division.
