President to embark on first overseas visit to India

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to make his inaugural state visit to India from December 15 to 17, 2024, at the invitation of Indian President Droupadi Murmu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today.

This marks President Dissanayake’s first overseas trip since assuming office.

During the three-day visit, President Dissanayake will hold talks with his Indian counterpart, President Murmu, and engage in high-level bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
