SJB says applications galore seeking candidacy to LG Polls

General Secretary of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Ranjith Madduma Bandara said applications galore from the party members seeking to contest the pending elections to the local authorities.

Mr. Bandara told Daily Mirror that the party would have a tough time sorting them out to select suitable candidates.

SJB has already started talks with different parties to work out electoral pacts.

However, there is uncertainty whether the elections will be conducted or not. (Yohan Perera)
