SLPP politburo decision imaterial: Range Bandara

Colombo, July 30 (Daily Mirror)  -  The decision by Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) to field its own candidate for the presidency is imaterial as a majority of the Ministers and MPs of this party is backing incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe, United National Party (UNP) General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said.

"Many MPs from the SLPP have already pledged their support to President Wickremesinghe and therefore there has been no setback for him," Range Bandara told the Dailly Mirror.
