SLPP to hold inaugural Presidential Election rally in Anuradhapura

Colombo, August 12 (Daily Mirror) -  The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will kick off its campaign for the upcoming Presidential Election with its inaugural public rally in Anuradhapura on August 21, according to MP Johnston Fernando.

Fernando highlighted that despite some SLPP leaders aligning themselves with the President, grassroots supporters remain loyal to the party. 

He also revealed that several former SLPP members who had left the party are now seeking to rejoin, signaling a potential strengthening of the party's base.
