Sagara Kariyawasam says ready for legal battle with AKD

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) General Secretary MP Sagara Kariyawasam said he is ready for a legal battle with JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Anura Kumara Dissanayake had said earlier that he initiated legal action against Kariyawasam over an accusation that the JVP was maintaining an off-shore currency account in a foreign land.

In response, Kariyawasam told the media that he would present his case against the JVP leader before a court of law.

He said he also had a whole bunch of questions to be raised in court over Dissanayake’s false utterances in the past against the SLPP leaders.
