(ICC) - Sri Lanka batter Harshitha Samarawickrama and Ireland opener Gaby Lewis have finished with career high positions in the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings at the end of their two-match series in Dublin that ended 1-1.

Samarawickrama’s knock of 65 off 44 balls in the second T20I helped her move up three places to 13th position while Lewis’s match-winning 119 off 75 balls that came with the help of 17 fours and two sixes, has lifted her four places to a career-best-equalling 21st position that she had earlier attained in July 2022.

The latest weekly rankings updates carried out on Tuesday consider performances in the second T20I between the two teams and those in the first two matches of their ICC Women’s Championship (IWC) series played over the past week for the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings.

Ireland, who have taken a winning 2-0 lead in the IWC series, saw quite a few players move up the rankings after notching their first points in the 10-team championship that helps determine qualification to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

All-rounder Orla Prendergast, who leads the run-scorers list with 131 runs after two matches, has moved up nine places to a career-best 28th position in the ODI batting rankings, Leah Paul is a slot behind in 29th position after gaining four positions and Amy Hunter is joint-34th after progressing 10 slots.

Chamari Athapaththu has slipped behind India opener Smriti Mandhana to fourth place but Nilakshika de Silva (up three places to 32nd), Samarawickrama (up eight places to 44th) and Kavisha Dilhari (up four places to 50th) are among the Sri Lanka players to move up the ODI batting rankings.

In the bowling rankings, Ireland seam bowler Arelene Kelly has advanced three places to 27th after bagging five wickets in two matches while Sri Lanka spinner Dilhari has gained five slots by reaching joint-30th position with six wickets.

Sri Lanka’s Achini Kulasuriya (up 13 places to 44th) and Ireland’s Jane Maguire (up five places to 71st) are among others to gain ranking positions.
