Showers likely today in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western Provinces

Colombo, October 29 (Daily Mirror) - Showers above 40 mm are likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western Provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts during the evening or night, the Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

They said showers will occur in the  Northern, North-Central and North-Western Provinces and in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.

Therefore, the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
