Skipper Hasaranga claims cricketers behind social media criticism

June 19- Wanindu Hasaranga, the captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team alleged that certain cricketers are behind the critical posts circulating on social media about the current team. 

His remarks came in response to questions from reporters at the Bandaranaike International Airport upon the team's return from the T20 World Cup today.

"We are aware of the individuals responsible for these posts," Hasaranga stated. 

"Some people create pages and share critical content solely to gain more attention on social media. Unfortunately, some cricketers are involved as well. There is little we can do about the nature of social media."

Addressing the team's performance, Hasaranga acknowledged the disappointment felt by fans due to the team's early exit from the tournament. He admitted that mistakes made by the team contributed to their downfall.
