COLOMBO (Daily Mirror) - A motion application filed by Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe requesting the Court of Appeal to revoke its previous interim order issued against the Sri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee is to be taken up for support today (14).
The Sports Minister has retained a private counsel to represent him. The Minister's motion is to be supported by President's Counsel K. Kanag-Ishvaran instructed by Senior Counsel G.G. Arulpragasam.
On November 7, the Court of Appeal issued an interim order suspending the operation of the gazette notification issued by the Sports Minister appointing an interim committee for Sri Lanka Cricket, until November 16.
The Court of Appeal two-judge-bench comprising Justices Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne and Wickum Kaluarachchi had issued this order pursuant to a writ petition filed by SLC President Shammi Silva.
