Two dead as vehicle swept away by strong currents in Thummodara canal

Two individuals drowned after their vehicle, which attempted to cross the Thummodara Canal on the Eswatta Manakada Road in Kosgama was swept away by strong water currents.

The double cab, carrying four individuals including the driver, was dragged nearly 50 metres downstream leading to the death of two individuals.
