Two sisters killed in expressway accident

Colombo, December 12 (Daily Mirror)- Two sisters were killed after the car they were travelling in collided with a lorry on the Southern Expressway.

The deceased are 12 and 10 year-old girls of Nupe, Matara.

The parents of the two girls sustained injuries and were admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital.

Initial investigations revealed that the family were returning home after visiting a doctor at a private hospital in Narahenpita when their car collided against the back of a lorry which was heading towards Matara from Colombo.
