Colombo, September 23 (Daily Mirror) - The United States has expressed its readiness to collaborate with Sri Lanka's newly elected President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to bolster bilateral relations.
In a statement posted on X, U.S. State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller conveyed congratulations to the people of Sri Lanka for exercising their democratic right to elect a new leader.
"Congratulations to the people of Sri Lanka for exercising their right to vote for their President. We look forward to working with President-elect Anura Kumara Dissanayake to strengthen our partnership," Matthew Miller said.
