Underworld delighted most after Supreme Court’s injunction on IGP: Prasanna

Parliament, July 25 (Daily Mirror)- The underworld rejoiced the most after the Supreme Court issued an injunction order against IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon, Chief Government Whip Prasanna Ranatunga said today.

He told Parliament that the Supreme Court gave three injunction orders yesterday and that the opposition is only talking about the injunction order on the IGP.

"The opposition protested against the Yukthiya operation ever since it was launched by the IGP Tennakoon. The underworld is delighted after the removal of the IGP. The underworld give protection to the opposition. That is why the opposition is so enthusiastic about the judgment on the IGP," he said.
