Update: Singer K. Sujeewa transferred to private hospital

Colombo, July 23 (Daily Mirror) - Popular singer K. Sujeewa, who was treated at the National Hospital, Colombo for injuries sustained in the Athurugiriya shooting, has been discharged and transferred to a private hospital.

She underwent treatment in a paid ward at the hospital following multiple surgeries.

Two persons including Surendra Wasantha Perera alias ’Club Wasantha’ were killed and several others including singer Sujeewa were hospitalised following the shooting in Athurugiriya on July 8.

Initially treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the National Hospital, Sujeewa has now been moved to a private hospital for further recovery, according to family sources.

Meanwhile, Club Wasantha's wife continues to receive treatment in the ICU at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital.
