Vacancy in National Police Commission; Applications called from interested individuals

Colombo, June 18 (Daily Mirror)- Applications have been called from interested individuals to fill in a vacancy in the post of a member of the National Police Commission, the Communications Department of Parliament said.

As stipulated in Article 155A of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, a person who is a Member of Parliament, a Provincial Council or a local authority is not eligible for appointment as a member of the National Police Commission.

Applications should be prepared in accordance with the information sheet available in the Parliament Website www.parliament.lk with a quick link as ‘Appointment of members to NPC’.

The duly completed applications should be sent to: ‘Secretary-General to the Constitutional Council, Constitutional Council Office, Parliament of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte’ on or before 01 July 2024 by registered post or by email to [email protected].
