Vijith Vijayamuni Soysa meets President

Colombo, August 12 (Daily Mirror) - Former Minister Vijith Vijayamuni Soysa, who served as the organizer for the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Katana electorate, has pledged to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming Presidential election.

Soysa met President Wickremesinghe and officially conveyed his support this afternoon (12).

He emphasised that effective politics requires a stable country, noting that the nation is currently progressing under President Wickremesinghe's economic and political strategies.

He believes that the country can achieve sustainable progress only through this programme. Hence, with the backing of his party members, Soysa has decided to support President Wickremesinghe at the upcoming election.

The meeting was also attended by Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, Member of Parliament Vajira Abeywardena and Senior Advisor to the President on National Security, Sagala Ratnayaka.
