Water level of Kalu, Ging Ganga reaches minor flood level: DMC

People in Neluwa, Thawalama and Kotapola were advised to be vigilant as water levels of Ging Ganga have reached at minor flood level at Thawalama and Baddegama, the Disaster management Centre said.

Meanwhile, DMC sad minor flood situation has also arisen in Ratnapura with heavy shower causing the water levels in Kalu Ganga to rise speedily.

DMC spokesman Pradeep Kodippili said people living along the banks of Kalu Ganga especially those in Elapatha and Kuruwita to be vigilant.
