EDB says export industries will continue operations during curfew

The Export Development Board (EDB) said it was taking necessary measures to ensure that the operations of export industries remain uninterrupted during the curfew period in the country.

"To manage the COVID-19 situation, the export industries operating within the country have been advised to follow all the safety measures recommended by health authorities during the curfew period and as per the ‘Guidelines on COVID-19, Preparedness for Workplaces,’ dated April, 2, 2020, issued by the Ministry of Health, safety precautions must be strictly implemented," an EDB statemetn said.

The export promotion agency also said it would continue to extend the required assistance to the export industries to run the export operations subject to health recommendations.
