Port City Colombo celebrates milestone with Marina Development groundbreaking

Port City Colombo celebrated a milestone today with the groundbreaking of the Marina Development, a joint venture between Browns Investments PLC, the strategic investment arm of LOLC Group and China Harbour Engineering Company.

The occasion served to showcase the project’s progress and readiness for investment, whilst also marking a significant milestone for marine tourism in Sri Lanka and South Asia.

The event was graced by Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath as the chief guest, Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong, Colombo Port City Economic Commission Chairman Harsha Amarasekera, Brown and Company PLC Chairman and LOLC Holdings PLC Deputy Chairman Ishara Nanayakkara, LOLC Holdings PLC Group Managing Director/CEO Kapila Jayawardena, Browns Investments Director Kamantha Amarasekera, China Harbour Engineering Company Managing Director Wang Gang and CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt.) Ltd Managing Director Xiong Hongfeng.
