The SriLankan Airlines Mumbai team, in collaboration with the airline’s Maldives team and Canareef Resort, recently hosted a successful agents’ educational tour to the stunning Gan Island in the Maldives.

Renowned as a diver’s hotspot, Gan is rapidly emerging as a popular family holiday destination, celebrated for its unique blend of natural beauty, rich history, heritage, and vibrant marine life. Additionally, it boasts a lower departure tax compared to Malé International Airport.

This initiative is part of SriLankan Airlines’ strategy to boost tourism along the Mumbai–Gan Island route via Colombo. The success of the tour is expected to spark renewed interest among Indian travelers in visiting the Maldives, taking advantage of SriLankan Airlines’ seamless connections through Colombo.

SriLankan Airlines conveniently connects Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Trivandrum, Madurai, and Thiruvananthapuram to Colombo with 90 weekly flights, offering immediate connections to the Maldives.
