AMW and Yamaha OBM donate computers to St. Roches College

Associated Motorways (Private) Limited (AMW), in partnership with Yamaha Outboard Motors (OBM) has recently donated 10 personal computers to St. Roches College in Ambakanadawila, Chilaw. 
This initiative underscores the commitment of AMW to support education and give back to the communities who have supported them over the years.
The Ambakanadawila community is significant for Yamaha Outboard Motors, and St. Roches College was selected for this initiative after careful consideration of the several other schools around the island. 
In addition to the donation of the computers, AMW also ensured that the computer lab was fully functional, by conducting repairs and completing all wiring and cabling. 
The computers were also fully equipped with all the essential software needed to suit the school’s requirements andwhich will help enhance the student’s ability to study, conduct research and provide access to educational materials.


The computers were presented to the school in a handover ceremony which was graced by key figures from AMW including, Shusaku Sato, Head of Yamaha Sri Lanka,  Jesumani Thamel, Head of Sales, Yamaha OBM, Lilan Dissanayake, General Manager- IT, and Harshani Ranasinghe, Head of Human Resources, Associated Motorways (Pvt) Ltd. The Principal and teachers of St. Roches College were also present at the ceremony.
With a rich history of over 75 years in the local automotive industry, AMW continues to reaffirm its commitment to supporting communities and fostering the educational development.
