Air France resumes flights to Colombo

The flag carrier of France, Air France, resumed operations between Colombo and Paris yesterday.
The international airlines will operate three weekly flights to Colombo and will increase the frequency for the upcoming winter season. 


“We are happy to resume services between Colombo-Paris with thrice-weekly flights and gradually increase to five weekly operations during the winter schedule. This is following our ambition to expand the Air France,” said Air France-KLM Indian Sub-Continent General Manager Claude Sarre in a statement to the media. 


The airline further stated that the customers from Colombo can further connect to the global network of Air France, comprising over 170 destinations, via the convenient hub of Paris, Charles de Gaulle. 

Flights from Colombo are scheduled for Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, while flights from Paris, via the Maldives, will operate on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. 


Operating the Colombo-Paris route will be Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which has a seating capacity of 297. The flight has 30 seats allocated for Business Class, 21 seats for Premium Economy and 228 for the Economy cabin.
