Arjuna Herath appointed BOI Chairman

The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) has officially appointed Arjuna Herath as its new Chairman. 
Herath succeeds Dinesh Weerakkody, who held the position for two years.
With an extensive career as a Senior Chartered Accountant, he brings decades of expertise in finance, consulting and leadership to his new role as BOI Chairman.
He previously served as a Senior Partner and Head of Consulting at Ernst & Young in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Currently, he serves as a board member at the Colombo Stock Exchange and has held positions as the Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka and a Board Member of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board.
Herath is also a Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Personal Data Protection Authority. 
As an experienced professional, he has been actively involved in international accounting forums, having previously served as President of the South Asian Federation of Accountants, a Board Member of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Accountants and Chairman of the Professional Accountancy Organisation Development Committee of the International Federation of Accountants.
