Auto Miraj diversifies into hotel business

Auto Miraj, which is an automobile services provider in Sri Lanka and in UK, has diversified into hotel business in Sri Lanka. 


According to the company, the construction work of its hotel complex in Sigiriya. 
Auto Miraj Chairman Iroshan Sarathchandra began his corporate career in 1993 by venturing into the plantation sector. However, he ventured into automobile service sector in 1994 with the opening of Lanka Service Centre. 
The company then opened service centres in Rawathawatte, Kohuwela, Attidiya and Bandarawela in 2002. This was followed by the introduction of ATF oil changing technology for vehicles with automatic gears. 


The company entered the global market by opening Auto Miraj UK Ltd in the UK during the year 2004. It then stepped into cab business named Feb cabs.


The company continued its diversification by stepping into elderly care sector by opening few care homes. It has also assisted a number of Buddhist temples in the country.
