Azotels to develop Hunas Falls as luxury hotel with villas

Hunas Holdings PLC yesterday said its fully- owned subsidiary Hunas Falls Hotels Private Limited has entered into an agreement with Azotels Services Limited, for the purpose of development and management of Hunas Falls Hotel.

“The partnership will see Azotels developing the present Hunas Falls Hotel into a high-end luxury hotel with villas, whilst also undertaking the management of the establishment, bringing it in line amongst the recognised hotels, internationally,” Hunas Holdings PLC Chairman Dhanuka Samarasinghe said.

Founder of Azotels is Adrian Zecha, who is a visionary and pioneer in the hospitality industry, with over five decades of experience under his belt.

He also carries the prestigious title of ‘Hotelier of the Century’ from the Forbes magazine, along with a string of other prestigious accolades and unique lifetime accomplishments.

He is also the pioneer of the luxury boutique villa concept.

“With this partnership, we hope to strengthen the exceptional value that Sri Lanka represents to the global tourism industry, through which, the industry can build and pivot towards attracting high-value luxury tourism and repositioning Sri Lanka as a luxury travel destination,” Samarasinghe added.
