BIA opens dedicated immigration counters for foreign travellers

To further smoothen the tourist experience, Sri Lanka opened dedicated counters for foreign travellers arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), yesterday. 

The President’s Media Division (PMD) said it was done as per the recommendations by the Tourism Development Committee appointed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe. 

“The Controller General Immigration and Emigration confirmed that exclusive counters will be available for foreign travellers arriving at BIA, as recommended by the Tourism Development Committee appointed by the president, from this evening,” a brief PMD statement said.
