BRISL invites Sri Lankan start-ups for ITEC 2024 Global Entrepreneurship Competition

The Belt & Road Initiative Sri Lanka (BRISL) invited Sri Lankan start-ups to sign up for the Global Entrepreneurship Competition of the International Talent Entrepreneurship Conference (ITEC) 2024. 
Designed to support entrepreneurs in emerging industries, the competition will provide an opportunity for local start-ups to showcase their innovations on an international platform. 


The start-ups involved in industrial internet, artificial intelligence, Internet 3.0, digital healthcare, photonic integrated circuits and other emerging industries are invited to take part in the competition 
The completed online registrations are to be submitted by August 31. 


The grand prize winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of five million RMB. Moreover, several winners from other categories are also set to receive substantial cash prizes along with access to abundant business resources. 
Preliminary evaluations of the registration will be conducted during August and September, with the semifinals in the form of online roadshows, are scheduled later during the latter month.  After field inspections, the global finals will take place in November, where the finalists will have to present their projects on-site to a panel of judges.  
The award ceremony will take place in the form of an innovation summit to exhibit the winning projects to government matchmaking and industry networking. 


The ITEC is an annual event held in the Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. 


The summit attracts over 5000 entrepreneurs and over 11,000 projects from 73 countries through its sessions. The annual event reportedly has assisted in incorporating over 900 projects in Beijing, attracting over 76 billion yuan in investments to the city.
