BWIO holds Business World International Awards

The Business World International Awards ceremony, organised by the Business World International Organisation (BWIO) INC - USA, an event which is recognised as one of the most prestigious business award festivals in the Asian Pacific region, was held in grandeur, at Taj Samudra, Colombo, recently.

BWIO is a USA-based organisation, driven with the objective of recognising the accomplishments and expertise of the global business spectrum. 

The BWIO Awards recognises and celebrates excellence in business and inspires entrepreneurs to accomplish greater challenges and benchmark their best practices. It concentrates on every category from start-ups to business giants, social change agents, sustainable development advocates and exceptional professionals in their respective fields of expertise, varying in 30 categories. 

The event attracted business owners, high level entrepreneurs, enterprises from the private, government sectors and small and medium enterprises and other VIPs throughout the country. 

The joint-chief guest was former President Maithreepala Sirisena and Asia African Chamber of Commerce and Industry Founder/Chairman Dr. G.D. Singh and the guests of honour were Minister Chamal Rajapaka and Senthil Thondaman. Among the other special guests were Senior DIG Dr. Ajith Rohana and Arjuna Ranatunga. The distinguished invitees were delightfully welcomed by International Chapter Chairman Dr. Dexter Fernando, BWIO USA International Chapter Vice Chairman Dr. Tharindu Wijenayake and Sri Lankan Chapter Vice Chairman Dr. M.A.A. Jabbar. Asia German Sports Exchange Founder and CEO and BWIO USA Advisory Board Member Prof. Dr. Dietmar Doering was a special guest and the keynote speaker of the function.
