CDS shortens equity transaction cycle

The Central Depository Systems Ltd. (CDS) in a circular yesterday announced the shortening of the settlement cycle from T+3 to T+2 for all equity transactions.

The settlement cycle will be shortened for all equity transactions on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) from 10 June 2024.

Accordingly, the trades executed on 10 June 2024 will be settled on 12 June 2024. Further, the trades executed on 7 June 2024 will also be settled on 12 June 2024, based on the T+3 settlement cycle.
