CFA Society SL to host inaugural CFO Forum

CFA Society Sri Lanka is to hold its inaugural CFO Forum titled ‘Riding the Challenges towards the Opportunity’, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Kings Court, Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo. 


This exclusive event targets CFOs and senior finance professionals, providing a platform to discuss and navigate the challenges faced by businesses in the current economic landscape.


The forum will feature a panel discussion focusing on critical issues such as the primary macro and micro challenges confronting CFOs in Sri Lanka, strategic planning in a declining interest rate environment, identifying and capitalising on major growth opportunities, leveraging rapidly evolving technology while managing associated risks and integrating sustainability into financial decision-making.


Proposed panellists include distinguished finance leaders: Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC CFO Nandika Buddhipala, John Keells Holdings PLC Group Financial Controller Mohan Thanthirige, Fitch Ratings MD Maninda Wickramasinghe and LSEG Finance Centre of Excellence Director/CFO Sri Lanka and Co-Head Fadhil Jiffry.  The discussion will be moderated by Acuity Knowledge Partners Senior Director Specialised Solutions Chamara Gunetileke, CFA.
