The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka will celebrate International Women’s Day 2022 by hosting a webinar on the theme ‘Promoting Women Entrepreneurship Development’ tomorrow (March 9) from 3.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m. via online zoom platform.
The welcome address will be delivered by Chairperson, CMA Sri Lanka Women’s Development Activities Committee and Associate Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Darshini Watawala.
The keynote presentation on ‘Promoting Women Entrepreneurship Development’ will be delivered by Chairperson, Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Partner, Ernst & Young Sri Lanka, Anoji De Silva.
CMA Sri Lanka will launch ‘Cost Accounting Literacy for Women’ by Prof. Lakshman R Watawala President and Hennayaka Bandara President SAFA and VP CMA. This course of 15 hours duration conducted in English, Sinhala and Tamil online will explain cost accounting, calculating cost price and selling price, fixed and variable costs, contribution, breakeven point, budgeting, cashflow, increasing profits while cutting costs and the importance of soft and IT skills.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Chamila Cooray, General Manager - Operations, WNS Global Services (Pvt) Ltd. The panelists will include CMA professionals and successful entrepreneurs who will share their experience are Chandima Ranasinghe, Co – Founder, Nasta Foods(Pvt) Ltd, Ranga Stephen Rodrigo, Partner, Rodrigo’s, Hiruni Withanage, Directress, Remarko Bakers, Darshika Wickramasinghe, Co-Founder / Group Managing Director, V-Share Group of Companies, Takuya Hoshino, Financial Sector Specialist, Asian Development Bank and Charmian Colombage, Principal, Stepping Stones Montessori. The webinar will conclude with a question and answer session where participants will also have an opportunity to discuss practical applications and obtain clarifications via chat option.
