The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) successfully concluded yet another virtual forum organised as part of an awareness drive for islandwide small and medium enterprises (SME).

The fourth event of the series, which was held for SMEs in Jaffna, drew a significant interest among the entrepreneurial community based in the region.

The series of virtual forums are hosted by the CSE with the objective of promoting the advantages of listing as a means of raising funds as opposed to traditional methods available, specifically for companies that qualify to list on the Empower Board.

The Jaffna forum follows the ones organised for SMEs in Matara, Negombo and Anuradhapura, over the past two months.

Atarah Capital Partners (Pvt.) Ltd Advisory Board Member Jeyavarman joined the discussion with insight on why an SME should list on the Empower Board and Chrissworld Limited Managing Director Suraj Surwaweera shared the company’s experience in the listing process.

Atarah Capital Partners (Pvt.) Ltd Managing Director Rohan Senewiratne added the company’s experience as a sponsor and the sponsor’s role. CSE Jaffna Branch Acting Manager S. Sabananthan joined the guest speakers in a question and answer session, which fostered an engaging and open conversation with the participating entrepreneurs.
