Cargills announced the launch of its newly redesigned ‘Go Green’ bag, now available at all Cargills Retail stores. Cargills was the first to introduce reusable bags in the sector with the original Go Green bag in 2007.
The redesigned Cargills Go Green bag reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to phasing out polythene bags, which pose significant environmental hazards. Polythene bags also contribute to the drain on foreign currency from the country as it is imported.
This initiative is part of the company’s strategy to encourage eco-friendly consumer habits and reduce the reliance on single-use plastic bags.
Crafted from non-woven polypropylene, the Go Green bag is both durable and reusable, capable of supporting up to 5kg of weight. The design ensures convenience, being both machine and hand washable for easy maintenance and hygiene. Additionally, the foldable design allows the bag to fit comfortably into a pocket, making it easy to carry around.
Every time a customer uses the Cargills Go Green bag, they will be making a conscious choice to protect the environment. Cargills invites all consumers to choose reusable bags and enjoy environmentally responsible shopping.
