Chevron Lubricants Lanka gets new MD/CEO

Muhammad Najam Shamsuddin is the newly appointed Managing Director & CEO of Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC and Managing Director for Chevron Ceylon Limited (CCL). 
Commencing his association with Chevron Pakistan as Manager, Brand & Marketing in 2004, Shamsuddin has consistently held positions of increased significance, including Marketing Manager Pakistan & Gulf, Manager Commercial Sales, and Manager Special Projects – Africa, Middle East & Pakistan. 


On 01st January, 2014, Shamsuddin was selected as Area Business Manager (ABM) - Pakistan and subsequently in 2015 as Country Chairman for Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (Pvt) Limited. 


During his tenure, Shamsuddin was instrumental in delivering double-digit growth in earnings and volume. 

In April 2019, Shamsuddin was appointed as the ABM for Chevron’s Asia Pacific Cluster markets. 


In his capacity as the ABM for AP Cluster, he oversaw profitable growth for Chevron Lubricants in Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and other export countries. 


Shamsuddin started his career in advertising, where he spent a couple of years before moving to British American Tobacco (BAT), where he worked from 2001 to 2004. 


At BAT, his portfolio covered both Premium and Value offerings. He was responsible for ensuring smooth operations across the value chain, including procurement of raw material, schedule production and logistics, and marketing and sales strategy execution. 


Shamsuddin holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (Hons) and a Master in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration Karachi, Pakistan.
