The Puttalam district will see the addition of a new tourism project, with Chilaw Plantations Limited (CPL) calling for proposals to establish a ‘tourist complex’. The regional government-owned plantation company yesterday called for Expressions of Interests (EOI) and project proposals, inviting Sri Lankan companies to come in as an investor for the joint venture.
The proposed complex will occupy a 20-acre block of the Unamoona division of Karative Estate, which is located adjoining the Kalladi Lagoon in Wanathawilluwa, Puttalam district.
The block of land will be provided by CPL, with an expectation of minimum 30 percent of annual profit.
The total investment will be borne by the investor.
The interested parties can obtain details and applications from the AGM Finance office located at 165, Puttalam Road, Chilaw, 61000, for a fee of Rs.25000, along with a refundable fee of Rs.75000. Proposals labelled ‘Unamoona Tourist Complex’ are to be submitted by March 25, 2024, via registered post or courier service to the address.
