Chitra retires from Ceybank

Chitra Sathkumara, CEO/Executive Director of Ceybank Asset Management Ltd, managers of Ceybank Funds, retired yesterday after 27 years at Ceybank. 


He was appointed as CEO/Executive Director of Ceybank in June 2000, having joining as an Investment Executive 
in 1993.


He was instrumental in growing the fund management operation at Ceybank, adding three gilt funds and two money market funds to their two equity funds. 

During his tenure, Ceybank’s reputation as an investment manager in the industry was enhanced and unblemished.


He had received specialised training on fund management and equity analysis from the Unit Trust of India and management training from NUS Business School in Singapore. He holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the Fordham University in New York and BSc from the University of Jayewardenepura.
