Clarification

In the article published on August 3, 2024 on page 9 of the Daily Mirror and the online edition, an erroneous reference had been made to the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society (WNPS), labeling it as “China Backed Wildlife and Nature Protection Society (WNPS).”

We have since learned that this statement is not accurate and was misleading. Additionally, it has come to our attention that the article contained incorrect information regarding the legal proceedings mentioned. Specifically, there was no request from the WNPS for an early hearing date; instead, the matter was fixed for hearing on October 14 by mutual agreement of all attorneys involved, including those representing the Adani group. 

Furthermore, there was no request made for interim relief, and the statement regarding the court denying such a request was entirely false.
