The Commercial Bank of Ceylon played an active role in the just-concluded annual festival of the sacred Nallur Kandasamy Kovil in Jaffna, promoting sustainability practices, providing mobile banking services for devotees, and conducting special card promotions.
The bank engaged in a door-to-door promotion in Jaffna, Nelliady, Chunnakam, Marudhanaamadam, Atchuvely, Thirunelveli, Point Petro, Thellippalai, Manipay and Chankanai and distributed 1,500 plants, as part of its commitment to create sustainable future.
The bank also conducted a raffle draw and presented valuable gifts to customers, including plants. On 1st September, after the conclusion of the Chariot Festival, one of the highlights of the Nallur Festival programme, the Bank’s staff from branches in the northern region conducted a clean-up of the four roads that lead to the Nallur temple, further demonstrating commitment to the environment, while connecting with the community.
