The Culinary Champions competition in the Hill Capital recently concluded with overwhelming success. 

Culinary Champions 2024 was held at Sahas Uyana, Kandy.

Over 470 chefs competed in 17 categories in the cool climate of the Hill Capital of Kandy.

It was organised by Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (Pvt.) Ltd, an award-winning event management company, with the endorsement and support of the Kandy Hoteliers Association, Nuwara Eliya Hoteliers Association and Cultural Triangle Hoteliers Association.

The Culinary Champions competition was judged by a panel headed by veteran competition organiser Chef Alan Palmer. Chef Rohan Fernandopulle, Chef Patrick Buttgereit, Chef Hasitha Indika, Chef Priyal Wijesuriya, Chef Priyantha Weerasingha, Chef Joodhy Khalid (Maldives) and Chef Abdul Rasheed (Maldives) came to witness the extraordinary spectacle that surpassed other culinary competitions held in the district. 

The professionally organised competition lasted three full days with over 50 hotels participating.
