DIMO together with Tata Motors Limited, recently launched its first batch of locally assembled DIMO Batta HT2 trucks.
Marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s automotive industry, DIMO Batta HT2 trucks are the first ever small commercial vehicle assembled in Sri Lanka.
Producedat the DIMO Vehicle Assembly Plant at the Weliweriya Logistics Center with a daily production capacity of 3 to 4 vehicles, the first batch of locally assembled DIMO Batta HT2 vehicles was handed over to a group of customers recently.
Ranjith Pandithage, Chairman & Managing Director of DIMO, commented on the launch of the DIMO Batta HT2 trucks. “Mobility plays a crucial role in the development of any economy, and as a company that has always stood for fuelling the dreams and aspirations of the communities we serve in, we are immensely proud to reach this incredible milestone of launching the first locally assembled DIMO Batta.”
The proven product of which over 100,000 vehicles are already enhancing the day-to-day lives of many Sri Lankans, the DIMO Batta HT2 is the only commercial vehicle that has a fuel economy of 18 to 22km per litre in its class, allowing maximum savings and higher returns for the owners.
It also has a very low maintenance cost compared to the similar products of competitors and comes with a regular service interval of every 10,000km, saving time and cost for the customer.
Witha large drop side load body with the dimensions of 7.2’ in length, 5’ in width and 1’ in height, the vehicle features a stylishly designed and comfortable cabin that seats two persons including the driver. Additionally, it comes with elegantly stylish head lamps and digital odometers for enhanced accuracy and most importantly, a trusted warranty of 2 years or 60,000km.
