Deshal rejoins Finance Ministry as advisor

Deshal de Mel, Research Director at Verité Research is taking up the role of Advisor to the Finance Ministry. He will be working with the technical team at the Treasury on economic recovery efforts for 
Sri Lanka.

He has previously served the Ministry in a similar capacity between 2017-19. Verité Research provides analysis, advice and education for government, private sector, and civil society in Sri Lanka and Asia. Its main research divisions are in economics, politics, media and governance.
