Clothing brand Dilfer celebrated International Women’s Day recently launching its ‘Women Empowering Women’ campaign, aimed at uplifting the lives of underprivileged women.
Every cut-off piece from the Dilfer manufacturing process takes on a new meaning and purpose by becoming a symbol of support and solidarity for women facing various challenges in today’s society.
Dilfer has partnered with ‘Simply Women’, an organisation formed to uplift the living standards of the women in Sri Lanka, to breathe new life into these fabric scraps, transforming them into beautifully crafted products such as scrunchies, hair bands, and jewelry.
All these products can be purchased from the Dilfer physical store located at 330 Galle Road Colombo 3 and its own e-commerce platform www.dilferclothing.com which delivers to the Sri Lankan market.

Additionally, through the Zalora Fashion Ecommerce Platform, these products are also available for customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.
Expressing her views on the initiative, Dilshani Ranasinghe - Director of Dilfer Clothing stated, “We are excited about teaming up with Simply Women to launch this wonderful initiative in celebration of International Women’s Day. Through the power of creativity, teamwork and resilience, we empower women to rise above adversity. We believe that these products, with their messages of hope and resilience, will encourage every customer and inspire them to play their part in uplifting the lives of the underprivileged women across Sri Lanka.”
