Dmaxx Dinara Clothing wins Industrial Excellence Gold Award

Dmaxx Dinara Clothing (Pvt) Ltd., won the Gold Award in the large-scale textiles and associated products category at the Industrial Excellence Awards 2022 organised by the Industrial Development Board (IDB). 

The Managing Director of the company, Deshamanya Dr. Dhammika Wijekoon received the award at the ceremony held at Waters’ Edge under the patronage of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Former Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa.

Dmaxx Dinara Clothing (Pvt) Ltd. which was established in 2005, manufactures and sells high quality and elegant women’s and children’s clothing. Dmaxx Dinara Clothing (Pvt) ltd currently employs over 500 employees. 

Its flagship stores are located in Peradeniya, Kandy City Centre and Kurunegala. Their fashionable and affordable designs can be purchased from Dmaxx flagship stores and leading textile retailers such as CIB, ASB, Nolimit, Kandy, Shades, Lady Centre, Nadiya’s, and Ruth Style that are located island wide. 

The CSR projects conducted by Dmaxx Dinara Clothing (Pvt) ltd., irrespective of caste and creed, during COVID-19, were commended by many. Their CSR projects have significantly contributed to their success in winning this gold award. They have also won numerous national scale entrepreneurship awards, including SLIM brand excellence award. 

“At a time in which garments are imported in large quantities, we were able to contribute to saving a large amount of foreign exchange by locally producing garments of international standards. Althoughwe exported garments to the US and European countries initiallywe now supply our entire production to the local market. I would like to thank all our customers and staff members for their support in making this a success”, said Dr. Wijekoon.
