KPMG in Sri Lanka, a member firm of the KPMG network of independent member firms, has appointed Dushani Corea as a Principal of the firm, with effect from October 01, 2024.


Dushani’s experience with KPMG spans over 17 years with her primary focus in deal advisory, specialising in corporate finance. Dushani has successfully led and assisted in a range of advisory engagements including those in valuations, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), due diligence and strategy projects. 


She currently leads engagements carried out by the corporate finance and M&A division of KPMG in Sri Lanka. She was the engagement director for several leading local and cross border transactions, including the sale of two local subsidiaries of a large multinational conglomerate, a major SOE privatisation programme and the NBFI consolidation programme. She also led a cross functional team that handled one of the largest foreign direct investments into Sri Lanka, which involved the sale of a logistics company. She continues to have a large portfolio of marquee clients who engage on various buy-side, sell-side and corporate finance-related engagements.
With over 14 years of managerial experience, she has played a critical role in establishing and sustaining the Corporate Finance Division within KPMG in Sri Lanka. She is skilled in mentoring and developing employees to help them grow professionally and has successfully built an extensive local and foreign client/investor network over the years.


Dushani holds a first-class Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin, USA. She is also an alumnus of the University of Wales, where she holds a Master’s in Business Administration.
