The Export Development Board (EDB) has organised a pavilion for Sri Lanka at one of the UK’s largest business fairs, International Food and Drink Event (IFE) 2025, scheduled for next year.

Recognised as a premier food and drink exhibition in Europe, IFE 2025 serves as a global hub to unite international food and beverage manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and collaborators for networking opportunities.

The exhibition is pivotal for product sourcing across the retail, foodservice, hospitality, wholesale, distribution, import and export sectors in the global food industry.  The event draws over 30,000 trade visitors from more than 120 countries, according to the EDB.

Accordingly, the EDB has invited local exporters specialising in food product categories such as spices and concentrates, processed food and beverages, tea, baked goods, snacks, confectionaries, chilled food and frozen food to showcase their products at the exhibition.  The EDB will shortlist 12 to 14 Sri Lankan companies through an interview panel appointed by the EDB.

Applications must be submitted to the EDB via registered post or in person by July 12, 2024.  The participating companies are to cover their own participation costs.

IFE 2025 is scheduled to take place from March 17 to 19, 2025 at ExCeL London, an international exhibition and convention centre, located in the Royal Docks area of London, England. (NR)
