Fonterra launches food service Solutions Kitchen in Biyagama

Fonterra, the long-standing provider of dairy products to people across Sri Lanka for over 40 years, recently opened its innovative ‘Fonterra Solutions Kitchen’, in Fonterra Brands Lanka’s main facility in Biyagama, equipped with the latest technology. 


Fonterra Solutions Kitchen is an innovation kitchen aimed at helping Sri Lanka’s hotel and restaurant industry, together with food entrepreneurs and home bakers, improve the efficiency of ingredient usage in their products, while also helping to showcase and provide access to Fonterra’s world-class range of dairy products used in the food service industry. 


The Fonterra Solutions Kitchen provides a test kitchen, a cooking studio, an education centre and other tools and resources to help create, test and experiment with recipes and ideas. 


Participants will have access to Fonterra Brands Lanka’s state-of-the-art equipment, and expert guidance from experienced advisory chefs, led locally by Jaime Aserappa. 


Fonterra Brands Lanka’s expert team of food and culinary advisors will be on hand to provide guidance to develop and refine product ideas and recipes, and insights about the latest food trends and consumer preferences.
“This initiative will help us work together with chefs, home cooks and entrepreneurs to drive innovation and develop meaningful solutions and helping to unleash their creativity towards innovative food solutions,” said Jaime Aserappa, Advisory Chef at Fonterra Brands Lanka, explaining the significance of the opening.
