Former Water Board GM joins H2O One director board

H2O One announced that Deepthi Upul Sumanasekera, the former National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) General Manager has joined the board of Directors of H2O One Private Limited.


Deepthi Sumanasekera is a highly experienced senior engineer counting over 37 years of experience in the industry. He has had a distinguished career, serving as the General Manager of the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) as well as several key senior roles as Additional General Manager and Deputy 
General Manager.


He has served on numerous boards and committees of domestic institutions as well as international institutions including National Steering Committee established for implementation of major water supply projects, bilateral/multilateral donor funded projects, international symposiums such as SACOSAN etc.  He has several papers and publications to his credit covering themes on water supply management, sustainability of water, and water project investments among many others. He holds M.Sc. Engineering from IHE Delf Netherlands and a BSc (Hon) in Civil Engineering from the University of Peradeniya.
