Delegation had a bird’s eye view of port from 12th floor of Hambantota Maritime Centre
A high-level delegation from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) visited Hambantota International Port (HIP), to get first-hand information on a wide range of subjects relating to port activity and the economy of the southern part of Sri Lanka.
MOFA Foreign Policy Bureau Deputy Director Hamada Takashi and MOFA Policy Coordination Division Assistant Director Nakada Taihaku led the delegation that met with Hambantota International Port Services (HIPS) CEO Captain Ravi Jayawickreme, Senior AGM Commercial and Marketing Bindu Ranasinghe and Port Investment Services AGM Lalith Ekanayake.
The delegation was briefed on the current developments and port’s business model.
