Hotel workers protest

Sri Lanka’s hotel sector workers yesterday staged a protest in front of the Labour Department, seeking government intervention in several matters.
The key demands by the hoteliers were to receive the Rs.5,000 allowance, just as what was announced for the public sector and for the employers to consider adding the service charge as part of their monthly salary.
